Welcome to the world of boat ownership! One of the true charms of owning a boat is knowing how your vessel operates and increasing your knowledge base of information to include some of the main systems on your boat (electrical, fresh water system etc.).Having a basic understanding of these systems not only adds to your enjoyment of the boat, but also allows you to trouble shoot should something go awry while you are on the water. Proper care of your sailing yacht and establishing a routine preventative maintenance schedule also helps insure that your boat will function without problems for years to come. You should check all the vitals on the boat (oil levels, coolant levels, fuel levels are just a few of many) on a routine basis per the recommendations in your engine owner's manual to keep your boat in sound operating condition.
