Beneteau USA has always believed they have the best dealer network in the sailing industry.  In late 2007, they wanted proof.  Beneteau had long believed that there were certain dealers who had worked very hard to invest time, effort, and capital into their businesses to improve not only their dealerships, but the entire sailboat purchase/ownership experience.  To recognize and reward these dealers would help to ensure Beneteau’s long-term viability as the #1 sailboat manufacturer in North America.

To accomplish this, they created a rigorous program that challenged each dealer to work on all facets of their business.  These dealers had several criteria to meet in various categories ranging from the basics of how efficiently they ran their operations to the visual appeal of their offices and show yards; from the level of professionalism presented within their dealership to the level of success achieved during their Commissioning and Service work.

The results of these evaluations would allow a dealer to attain one of four status levels:  Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Tin. (to be fair, the Tin level is not a failing dealership; it is the Beneteau dealer who is reputable and honest, but whose volume of business does not warrant many upgrades). 

After a nine-month evaluation, we are happy to announce that on September 10, 2008  Karma Yacht Sales was awarded Platinum Beneteau Dealer status.  In all, only 12 Beneteau dealers were awarded this status.

What this means for our past and current customers is that we have made the investments into the infrastructure of our business, and we will continue to be there for you when you need parts, advice, warranty repairs.  We will also be there for that day when you are ready to sell your boat and/or move up to another Beneteau. 

What this means for the future KYS customer is that the process that begins with your interest in a Beneteau, all the way through to your first sail as an owner-and beyond-will be a smooth, enjoyable, professional process. 

What this means for us, to be quite honest, is that very little has changed.  We have operated this way from our beginnings in 2002. Although the past two years have seen us invest a significant amount of time and capital into improving/expanding our operations, we always worked to make any appointment or visit with us convenient and enjoyable, now they will be even more so.  We recently purchased a structure that has become our Crowley’s Yacht Yard Sales Office; we also purchased and renovated what is our main office - in the Bridgeport neighborhood - just minutes from downtown, the harbors, and Crowley’s. All of this has been done to better serve YOU our growing customer base. 

After all, a Platinum dealer representing a Platinum brand will help to ensure an exceptional (or should we just say Platinum) experience for those whose business we earn.
